Important Asphalt Surface Requirements:

ColorPave must be applied to a properly prepared and compatible surface.



For asphalt applications, the asphalt must be bare and unsealed. ColorPave cannot be applied over asphalt that has already been coated with traditional asphalt sealer, coal-tar sealer, or other incompatible pavement coatings.

This means previously sealcoated asphalt may not qualify for ColorPave unless the existing coating can be completely removed and the underlying pavement can be properly prepared.

New asphalt must also be allowed to cure before ColorPave is installed. Our team will inspect the surface and determine whether the pavement is suitable for the coating before recommending the service.

Being upfront about these requirements helps ensure proper adhesion, an even appearance, and the longest possible service life.

ColorPave may also be installed on properly prepared concrete.



Concrete must be clean, sound, fully cured, and free from dirt, oil, grease, curing compounds, loose material, incompatible coatings, and other contaminants that could interfere with adhesion.

Some concrete surfaces may require additional preparation before ColorPave can be applied. Our team will inspect the concrete and explain any cleaning, repairs, or surface preparation that may be required.
